Over recent years Salford CVS has worked hard with other VCSE sector leaders to create a functioning model for voice and influence, predominantly via our VOCAL Forums, strategic workshops / events and our large VCSE annual conference.
Salford CVS is currently leading on the development of a VCSE Strategy for Salford which is being co-produced with VCSE Leaders, Salford City Council and NHS Salford CCG. This strategy will be launched at our annual VCSE Conference in July this year and is itself a response to the sector’s own VCSE Manifesto for Salford.
We are now keen to develop this voice and influence work even further, at a time when demand on CVS’ (and VCSE partners) services and time is increasing alongside an awakened appetite and potential opportunities for further collaboration and co-design within and across sectors - hence the need for this post.
Collaborative working and effective communication with key stakeholders will be a significant part of this role. Your ability to give voice to our sector and to influence key decision-makers will be crucial.
You will need to demonstrate excellent management skills, extensive experience of building multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships and have outstanding communication skills. Our chosen candidate will have a clear understanding of the VCSE sector - preferably in Salford - and in the context of what’s happening across Greater Manchester. You’ll need to be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative to meet the needs and demands of the VCSE sector and our public and private sector partners. You will preferably also have some experience of project management. This experience, knowledge, understanding and skills will enable you to provide a high quality service to and with Salford VCSE organisations.
This is a crucial role for Salford CVS and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to help us deliver our aspirations for change.
Are you the person we are looking for?
