    What’s involved?

    We are looking for a Fundraising Administration Support Volunteer to help out in our Alzheimer’s Society Trafford office at Dunham House, 85-89 Cross Street, Sale M33 7HH.                             

    The volunteer would ideally be able to offer a few hours each week or fortnight and provide some continuity over a minimum of 3 months.

    Trafford Hard of Hearing Group run Lipreading classes on Thursdays for the hard of hearing at approx. £3 per class at 2 different venues.

    There are often vacancies in our daytime Thursday Lipreading classes at St Matthew's Hall Stretford, 10.30am-12.30pm and 1pm-3pm.

    Last year The Trussell Trust provided 1.2 million three-day emergency food supplies. Most people referred to their foodbanks were at the time supported by working age benefits.

    Yet the average income for households was just £319 in the month before they were referred.

    Most households had been unable to afford heating, toiletries or suitable shoes or clothes for the weather.

    The aim of this course is to provide basic awareness about safeguarding vulnerable children who may be at risk of abuse and harm.

    In addition to Child Protection and Safeguarding the course will explore the links between Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding.

    This course will help you to
